Dr. Richard Carlin – We have a short meeting today because Santa is here!
No new hires, but we are still looking for more staff.
Christmas is approaching! We will close at noon on Christmas eve and will be closed the day after Christmas. We will be open 8am – 2pm on New Years eve. We are closed on New Years Day and will reopen January 2nd.
Purchased gas perm solution. Please keep one in every POD.
Cross Linking treatment is now available. Michaela and Haley are trained. Insurance companies will cover cross linking treatment and Precert will be required. We are the only practice in Gwinnett that offers Cross Linking.
The opticians and surgical counselors have completed their 18 month sales course training. * Certification of Completion Presented to James, Lisa, Scott, Troy, Cyntya, Laura, Corinne, Kimberly, Daelyn, Destiny, Erika, Mandy, and Maddie.*
Betty and Holli have gone a great job leading the training and have worked hard in and out of office.

Optical – If you want to communicate with opticians or Kimberly, please use the TO DO. They check the todos daily and will reach out to patients.
Cataracts – On injections days, please put our patients in the fitting room directly and let us know. POD ¾ waiting area can get crowded on days that Dr. Modi is here.
Oculo – Communication is great! Keep it us.
Dry Eye – Keep using supplies in pairs. Daelyn is scheduling patients.

You may be wondering about the breakfast this morning. It is part of our Staff Appreciation Month. Patients comment on how great the doctors are, but we really could not do it without all of you. From the person making the appointment, to the smile at check in, techs, billing, everyone matters.
This has been a difficult time for some employees. Please be supportive and understanding during this time.
Crosslinking treatment is here! Only practice offering treatment east of the Perimeter. Mandy is the cross linking coordinator. Crosslinking techs are Michaela and Haley.
Valeda coming soon. It is the only FDA approved treatment for dry macular degeneration. It is quick and painless. Patients receiving treatment will be seen 3x a week for a period of 3 weeks and will repeat this every 4 months. Megan is be the coordinator for Valeda.

Insurance form for 2026 has been passed out. Please return your form no later than Thursday 11/20/25 at 3pm. Place it in the blue folder.
If a patient is sick or does not feel well, please let me know. I follow up with those patients.
