June Meeting Notes

Dr. Richard Carlin – Welcome Abigail (tech), Angel (front office), and welcome back Laura (optical)!

There are 5 fire extinguishers. In case of a fire, employees and patients need to evacuate the building and meet in front of the building by the street. If it is a small fire, you can use the fire extinguisher if you know how, but the first priority is safety. The water shut off is in the water closet and the gas shut off is outside. For power outages, open exam room doors so patients are not in the dark.

Patients are all different and express their problems differently. Listen to a patient thoroughly and assess the problem.

Eye Care America – We are seeing an increase of Eye Care America patients. These patients can receive treatment for medical conditions covered for up to 1 year. This does not include any surgeries, glasses, or contact lenses.

Please keep schedules full. If there same day or next day appointments, offer those to patients first.

Working with Beth to have create a system to track outside testing. If you have any ideas please reach out to Beth.
