Welcome 2 new employees to the front office: Isabella and Lindsay

Hope everyone enjoyed Tex’s Tacos on Cinco de Mayo.

PTO – purpose is to recognize personal time off and earn as part of employment. Be careful in using it as it is for sickness and family emergencies as well as vacation. Can roll over 81 hours thru March of the next year.

CarlinVision is a private corporation, separate entity. Expect employees to be open and honest. Keep track of your time accurately and honestly – do not betray the trust. Office supplies stay here.

Breakroom left in a mess after lunch, help clean it up. Same for employee bathrooms. Keep clean and orderly. Restock toilet paper and soap when out.

Phone calls received regarding pod conversations. Watch noise and language – keep it professional!

Pay stubs – get Ovation app for phones and check for accuracy regularly including medical deductions, PTO, etc. Do not pull up here and it is saved for others to see. Per Dr. C. go to socialsecurity.gov and check your deposits.

CarlinVision has 2 phone numbers – 2020 & 2022 (for docs & emergencies). The ringtones are different. Answer both professionally. If calling in sick after letting Amy know, you can use the back 2022 line.

Issue with patient in Optical using CareCredit card. Thought to be fraudulent purchase. Ask for verification if necessary. Check credit card against driver’s license or other form of ID so that names match. Be vigilant.

With transition to summer watch attire – no spaghetti straps, leggings, tanks, etc. Dress professional.

Cataracts (Chelsie)

Doing good. Get the patients in as quickly as possible, transfer call to them. Use the sticky pads for cataract patients with Premium Lens, APR or LenSx checked. If consult room is busy, start videos in rooms.

Optical (Scott)

When patient asks if we take their insurance when calling for appointment, let them know it may be different in optical. They take 4-5 vision insurances.

Marketing
Oculoplastics VIP campaign ended in April. Focus to create patient awareness of VIP program and benefits of cosmetic eyelid surgery at CarlinVision. Megan did a fantastic job helping DJ & John.

Lasik started new digital campaign to boost awareness that we offer the most experience, advanced technology & least amount of fine print when compared to others.

Cataracts will start a print campaign with articles from the doctors to help educate and offer treatment options.

Attending GenXpo on June 4 at Gwinnett Center. Promoting the practice with focus on cataracts and oculoplastics.

Dr. Bennett-Sims speaking to students at Smoke Rise Elementary about how to get into the ophthalmology career track.
