Office Notes May 2021

Dr. C:  Welcome Audrey (front desk).

The CarlinVision Experience! Where name CarlinVision came from. It is Dr. Carlin’s Vision. Firmly believe that a physician is a noble profession. Should provide a certain experience for our patients who are not a product to sell to. They should experience a personal, confidential, UNIQUE visit. We are not a clinic. All staff needs to make patients feel special. We are not about the money but to make patients’ lives better.

COVID mask situation – We are a healthcare facility so both staff and patients need to wear masks in office. If employee is in an enclosed office with a door you can remove but need to wear outside of office. Ask patients at CEX if they had COVID, COVID vaccine, along with flu shot.

If scheduling an appointment ask patient if they have been referred and put in schedule.

Cataract surgery patients – when in for follow-up on 1st eye, if 2nd eye is scheduled do not need to see a counselor. Put professional component for IOL master in for 2nd eye. If 20/40 put bat in. Refraction needs to be less than 6 months old. Aetna Medicare needs a 10 day pre-certification window.

Refer to surgical counselors for surgery and put exact procedure in plan.

More tests are not being run properly. Make sure techs are getting good tests, if not repeat. Look for errors, false negatives. Make sure patient’s chin & forehead are in the proper position.

Payouts:  Dr. C (Lasik) – Karen, (brow lift) – Karen; Dr. DC (Bleph) – Lexi, Sabrina, Karen, Daisy, Ale’; Dr. Tyler (Bleph) – Bree, Karen, Stacy, Lorena, Lexi; Dr. Willman (Bleph) – Karen, Millie; Dr. DeRosa (Bleph) – Haley H
