When a staff member is called for Jury Duty, he or she will be excused from work during the time actively engaged at the court house. If not required to report to the court house on a particular day, the employee should report to work. Absences incurred when engaged at the court house will be excused and not deducted from Vacation or PTO days. Absences when not actively engaged at the court house will be considered as and deducted from PTO days. Employees will not be paid when absent from work for Jury Duty.
On Election Day, arrangements should be made to vote prior to or after normal working hours.
