When Doctors Are Away

All employees are expected to keep the normal work schedule if one or more doctors are away from the office during the usual practice day. This is a valuable period of time in that work can be “caught up to date” such as insurance processing, delinquent accounts, review and follow-up, correspondence, inventory/supplies update, business/medical phone calls, phone follow-up, recalls, chart updates, etc. From time to time, “extra” time off will be granted when a doctor is away from the office. This will not count against your vacation time but is considered a reward and appreciation for a job well done. This “benefit” is not to be expected. All employees may not receive the same time off.

Office Meetings

Monthly staff meetings are held each month at 8:15 am. These are mandatory for all staff members. Missing an office staff meeting or arriving more than 15 minutes late without notifying your supervisor or the Practice Administrator in advance will result in a $50.00 fine.

These meetings are an opportunity to discuss problems, learn new skills, and keep updated on changes. Additional meetings may be called as needed. These are also mandatory. During these meetings, cell phones should be turned off.
