Dr. Richard Carlin- It’s the beginning of the year. Remember to collect deductibles and copay. Medicare deductible for 2024 is $240.

Recap of 2023: We saw 48,885 patients. Three percent up from 2022. Lasik is down 15%, Optical is down 3%, Contacts is down 4%, Cataracts up 9%, and Oculoplastics up 2%. The goal for 2024 is to see 50,000 patients.

Strive to give our patients the best experience. Urgency when putting charts back and be timely when seeing the patients.

We will be more staff focused this year. We are looking to reduce stress. No January party – doing events year round instead. Staff training will continue.

In March, Betty will be hosting a sales course. Anyone can join.

Dr. Richard Carlin: Thank you everyone for the great attitudes. Normally December is very stressful and hard, but this year seems to be different. Everyone has been pleasant and friendly – thank you.

Thank you Dr. Thompson for being here – you have made a difference and helped the practice.

I will be passing out bonuses/Christmas gifts – buy something for yourself.

Lasik: The special for $1,000 off is extended through January. The contest is going good and schedules are filling up.

Cataracts: We are busy. Thank you to the techs.

Bleph: Everything is going good. Keep sending referrals.

Contacts: Everything is good.

Optical: Make sure patients know they have to come to optical to fill an RX. For contact wearers, they may have frame benefits leftover.

Marketing: There is a sheet in the breakroom to sign up for the marketing team – make sure to do so before January. We are going to vote on a bake off or a pot luck – pot luck won.
