April Meeting Notes

Dr. Richard Carlin – Welcome Claire! During Covid, we saw a decline in patients. We are starting to see an increase again. Current issues are decreased reimbursements and influx of corporate medicine. CarlinVision will remain a “home town touch” practice.

Please schedule patients with the appropriate doctors. Follow ups should be scheduled with initial doctor, unless doctor has OK’d patient to see someone else. Please stick to templates.

Positive changes in the optical Boutique. Lower prices and shorter turnaround times.

Payouts – Dr. RC (Lasik) Scott, Daisy, Stacy

Dr. DC – Ashleigh, Mirnesa, Rebecca, Alex

Dr. Willman – Lauren, Cindy, Ester

Amy – All physician emails come to me if it is sent to @carlinvision.com Please ask physicians for personal email if needed.

When filing vision insurance, please have routine diagnosis first, followed by medical diagnosis. Katie will give list of acceptable medical diagnosis to check out. Medical diagnosis should be in the chart and routine sheet.

Ice Cream Social at 2! Please enjoy!

Cataract – Scan drivers license. It helps us locate patients and for insurance.

March Meeting Notes

Dr. Richard Carlin – Welcome Brianna (front desk), Salma (tech), and Ester to technician from front office.

We are always looking to do better and continuously make changes for the benefit of our patients. Part of these changes will include optional masks for patients and staff and bringing back the coffee stations. Effective Monday we will have coffee and muffin/cookie stations. In order to make this work, there are more people on the kitchen and bathroom duty list. If you use PTO or call out, you are responsible for finding someone to cover your duty.

There is a shortage of contact lens solution. Please leave the samples for the patients. If you see a patient taking a bottle, please remind them to leave it on the counter for all patients to use.

The contact lens fit room is not for personal use. If you happen to be using the room, please do not leave any personal belongings behind.

Fitting fee form must be filled out by patients. Please bring patients to Stacy or Brandi if they are interested in contacts.

There is no smoking or vaping allowed in the office.

Payouts – Dr. RC (Lasik) Bree, Karley, Allie, Gem, Michaela, Karen. (Bleph) Alex, Kristi, Gem, Hallie, Ashleigh, Michaela, Courtney.

Amy – If you need a magnet for your bleph button, please come see me.

MIPS results were not as great as expected. Beth will have copies of MIPS PowerPoint available to techs if needed.

There has been an increase in glasses checks. If a patient has a complaint about their new glasses, they must see optical first. The opticians will help get them scheduled with the physicians if needed.

Please listen to patients when scheduling. Medical issues should be scheduled accordingly and not in “CEX” slots. Include notes for techs when scheduling.

Diana – Seeing a great response for the Lasik special. Lasik is $800 off through April.

Allie – Bleph contest is going great. First team to get 10 referrals gets lunch on CarlinVision.

Maddie – Everything is going good. Thank you to everyone who interacts and shares our social media to help with exposure.

Cataracts – If patients could be scheduled on both the doctors’ schedule and our consult schedule, that would be helpful.
