Dr. C:
Welcome to December. Busy time, working hard, pitching in where needed. We recognize & appreciate it! All will receive hazard pay of $300 end of January.

Still need front office & tech staff. $300 bonus if you refer someone to apply.

Drs. Floyd & O’Shea not here – meeting with Georgia Retina.

Thank you to Scott, DJ, Nadia & Nancy for decorating office.

Welcome Makenzie (tech) & Karishma (front office).

Waiting list – Karen says going ok but patients want specific day & time which we can’t accommodate.

Still option of adding more hours if needed.

Christmas – organizing luncheon for Wed., Dec. 22^nd.

FDA approved Vuity daily drop for presbyopia. Improves reading ability for 6 to 10 hours for those 40+. Don’t know price or if insurance covers. If interested in trying let doc know. Patients will be asking about it also.

Dr. DC:  Thanks again to all for their efforts.

Dr. Thornhill:  Give Brandi contacts appointments to schedule. Will write a script to explain refraction and one to help schedule patients for complete vs. problem.

Dr. BS:  When scheduling for dry eye – no drops 2 hours prior to exam. Get Erin or Vanessa to explain LipiFlow treatment if needed.

Dr. Willman:  All doing great job under the circumstances.

Amy: Thanks to all you helped me during the last 3 weeks. Appreciate your support.

End of year – if moved or need to make change see Amy for payroll/W2.

January is open enrollment for 401K. Eligible if here since Dec. 2020. Signage will go out, booklet & website available when you enroll.

Keep up with your bathroom & kitchen duties. List in breakroom.

Max of 5 docs on schedule per day. Let Amy or Karen know if more.

Brittany is working from home Monday-Wednesday doing tech calls and prior authorizations.

Cataract:  When scheduling cataract evaluation, also put in consult schedule. Print IOL master with numerical values. If door is closed, knock to let us know chart is in door.

Lasik:  Keep sending patients. Lasik evaluation can be done with complete exam.

Oculo:  Going great.

Optical:  Thank you Troy for decorating and to those who pitched in to help.

Pre-cert:  Aetna now requires 14 day out for YAGs.

Dr. C:  Welcome Brianna & Danielle (techs), Nadia moved to front desk from concierge. Mackenzie (tech) & Karishma (front desk) start tomorrow. Still looking for more staff and administrative assistant for Amy.  $300 if you get someone in to work here.

Ophthalmic Professional Week – thank you all, you are very important in helping patients with their vision. Blindness if one of the things people worry about most.

For new employees – end of year is very hectic, patients want in.

Make every effort to accommodate patients. Insurance may be running out, need glasses or contacts. We may start earlier in the day during this time.

Thank you to back office for helping in morning with check in & checkout, and right after lunch. Appreciate you pitching in.

COVID down a bit, will loosen some restrictions. No more taking temperatures including staff. If not feeling well call the office. Opening breakroom on limited basis – tables with 4 chairs only. Wear mask when not eating.

Dr. David Carlin, Dr. Willman & Dr. Thornhill will work ½ day Nov. 26^th from 9-12.

To recognize hard work we will be closed Christmas Eve, Dec. 24^th.

News Year’s Eve hours Dec. 31^st are 8-12.

Folder for medical/dental in mail bins. Fill out and put in folder on Amy’s door by Nov. 17^th even if not participating. Office pays ½ your premium which stayed relatively the same. In December will talk about enrollment in 401K. You may want to retire someday!

Per IT John there has been an uptick in spam emails. DO NOT click on any links – delete email.

Thanksgiving lunch Nov. 16^th. Need help with setup. Caterer will dish out food. Spread out around office, keep masks on when not eating.

Christmas Décor contest – $10 allowance for decor. Mille created teams. Start on Dec. 1^st. Donna will take pics and put on social so patients can vote.

Secret Santa – sign up with Vanessa if you want to participate.

Cataracts:   Thank you techs for helping with testing.

Oculo:  Special buy 1 lid get 1 lid ½ off continues thru December.

Lasik:  Special thanks to Alex for scribing, telemed & extra help around. New docs/staff send us prospective patients. Reached 10,000 patients this month!

Optical:  Very busy. Buy 1 get 1 ½ off special doing well. Educate patient in exam room about lenses, etc.

Dry Eye:  Send for us if there are LipiFlow questions.
