Office Notes – June 2015

Dr. C:
Happy Summertime! Slows down – think beach vacations! Patients don’t think that way. Make sure patient care doesn’t suffer/slack off.
Welcome new technician Kellen
Patient Appreciation Program starting today. A value added idea. Gift cards available to numerous places to help engage patients, make their days brighter & happier. Can be given by anyone. Ex: patient comes long distance (gas card), appointment ran through lunch (restaurant card), etc. Amy has gift cards. Give more ideas if you have them.
2 focus groups scheduled for this month. See list in break room.
Bleph special did well.
Lasik on June 12 – free smartwatch.
Getting new couches for waiting rooms. Tan ones replaced on Saturday. Please help move them to back. Anyone interested in one, tell Amy.
Kiosk: how are we doing? Not too well – patients prefer front desk if given a choice. What can we do better? Will discuss later. DJ will make new signs for tables & poster for entryway.
Bleph payouts: Dr. C – Sam, Katy, Jessica, Tiffany G, Brandi; Dr. DC – Megan H, Ashley G, Lottie, Ale, Katy; Dr. BS – Ale; Dr. Roensch – Tiffany G

Amy:
Thank you to all who worked Snellville Days.
Will be at Generations Expo for boomers & seniors on Saturday, June 6 from 10 to 5. Free tickets – see Amy.
Techs need to educate patients about tests. Ask front desk why stamped routine/no test – when only vision insurance billed or self pay. If stamped routine then billed to medical, though it may not be covered if we don’t take.
No office meetings in July or August. Back in Sept on 11th – 2nd Friday.
Today is National Donut Day – DJ explain – donuts for all in break room to celebrate. Have a lot – eat more than 1.
Starting Meet the Staff Monday on facebook – fill out form, pictures will be taken.
Get a lot of groups looking for donations – cannot do all that come in because of our size.
Front desk – when patient ordering contacts, check benefits & put in chart.
Humana Medicare Advantage plans now take EyeMed.
Web registration screen – sex not updating, please fill in.

Cataracts, Optical, Lasik, Contacts – no comments.

Office Notes – May 2015

We had an issue this week with a pt making a threat. The pt was very upset about charges for an advanced refractive package. He said he was going to shoot the place up. We do not take threats lightly. We called the police. If you have a situation please let Amy or one of the doctors know. Read More
