Office Notes – November 2017

Dr.RC:
Good morning!

Dave and Holly (401k, John Hancock) coming at 8:45 to update us during meeting.

Welcome to new hires Taylor (technician) and Gionna (front office).

One thing to mention – when people go to the doctor they want to feel better. I enjoy seeing people smile and laugh. We want you to enjoy your time here. If you are happy it spills over to the patients. It makes them feel good if we are all smiling and laughing.

We are in the busy season for the next 2 months. We saw over 4000 patients last month. If we can get the patient to come in November, better than in December.

If patient’s yearly appointment is due in December, offer them one in January.

As we go through this next month, keep the atmosphere pleasant and upbeat.

Amy and Megan H are always available for issues and questions.

Medicare numbers will be changing next year.

There will be a lunch and learn for techs after the academy given by those techs who attended.

Bleph contest in November. Bring patients to see Megan M. She can give them info before they see the doctor.

Payouts:
Dr. RC (Lasik) – Hannah, (Bleph) – Mandy Neely
Dr. DC (Bleph) – Jessica H, Chelsie, Brittany B, Ebony, Sam, Marlyn Read More

Office Notes – September 2017

Dr. C:
Good Morning! Welcome back. Did everyone have a good Summer?
Welcome to our new employees: Ana, Keeli, Rachel, Jessica and Erin.

End of the year rush is starting. Patients will want to use up their insurance deductibles, etc. It will get stressful but try to keep a positive attitude. Routine checks can wait until January.

If you don’t know the answer to a patient’s question it is ok to say you don’t know but you will get them an answer. Do not make up something.

There will be options for the Christmas party. A form will be handed out to everyone with 3 choices – Friday night, Saturday night or No party. There will still be a ½ day off no matter the decision.

Megan wants to increase Bleph numbers. If a patient is interested or looks like they may be a candidate, send them to Megan for a consultation. Same for Lasik, send interested patients to Diana.

Lasik surgery days are changing  to the 2nd and 4th Thursday morning of the month starting in October.

Office meeting will be 2nd Friday of the month starting in October. Check white board for notes.

Patient reviews – Techs, if you see a happy patient please ask for a review of their experience. Doctors also. There are review cards to hand out for Yelp, Google, Healthgrades (for doctors). See Marketing for them. They can also put a review on our Facebook page.

Cell phones – starting in October no cell phones will be allowed when working. Put them in your locker or purse.  The situation is not working well and is inconsiderate to your co-workers and the patients. Let your family and friends know to call the office if they need you and someone will let you know.
