Dr. Carlin – One new employee this month – Welcome Sarahi! 

You may be wondering about the breakfast this morning. It is part of our Staff Appreciation Month. Patients comment on how great the doctors are, but we really could not do it without all of you. From the person making the appointment, to the smile at check in, techs, billing, everyone matters.   

This has been a difficult time for some employees. Please be supportive and understanding during this time.  

Crosslinking treatment is here! Only practice offering treatment east of the Perimeter. Mandy is the cross linking coordinator. Crosslinking techs are Michaela and Haley.  

Valeda coming soon. It is the only FDA approved treatment for dry macular degeneration. It is quick and painless. Patients receiving treatment will be seen 3x a week for a period of 3 weeks and will repeat this every 4 months. Megan is be the coordinator for Valeda.

Insurance form for 2026 has been passed out. Please return your form no later than Thursday 11/20/25 at 3pm. Place it in the blue folder. 

If a patient is sick or does not feel well, please let me know. I follow up with those patients. 

Mandy – Lasik Holiday $1000 off ($500 each eye) Still bring me your CarlinBucks and get candy! Free PTO hours and botox also up for grabs! Still time to get referrals.  Also, please send me patients with Keratoconus.  

Cataracts – Thank you to testing!  

Bleph – Thanks testing! Keep up the great communication.  

Optical – Kim is still out. Please send To Dos to CHA (Corinne). No special for the holidays. Send people over for us to check benefits! New Chemestrie Clip available to help with night driving.  

Contacts (Brandy) – Thank you for all the calls, donations, and prayers during this time. We appreciate everyone during this difficult time in Stacy and my life.

Dr. Richard Carlin – Welcome Karla (front) and Francesca (Optical)! We are finally fully staffed in optical. Wait times are decreasing! Bring patients over.  

We are entering Q4. If a patient needs testing, please go ahead and do it. Maximize patients’ visits. Let’s go ahead and get patients in now. Please do not wait until December. 

Employee evaluations have been sent off to the consultants. Thank you for everyone who submitted a packet. 

Carpets were cleaned on Sunday. Let us know if you notice a missed spot and please keep the carpet stain free.

Corneal Cross Linking coming soon! Expect to see new equipment in the next few weeks. Procedure will begin in the next couple of months and last approximately 1 hour.   

Dr. David Carlin – Thank you all for making dad’s birthday special.  

Amy – Compulink Trainer Joyce will be out in October. Please feel free to give her feedback. 

Aflac – If you are interested in enrolling in a plan, please see me by Friday the 26^th.  

Lasik –  Pumpkin Spice & Perfect Sight! Special extended through October. $600 off each eye.  

Optical – Opticians will be stopping in exam rooms to let patients know they have material benefits. It will only take a few minutes. Now offering a discount for Medicaid patients that is similar to their coverage. Please send Medicaid patients over to the Boutique.  

Cataracts – If a patient is not a candidate for standard, please provide the reason in the chart. 

Oculo – Put the your entire name in the referral box. Add the patient in CON schedule at the same time as their appointment with the physician.  

Contacts – July was our second biggest month. Please enter outside contact lens rxs in patients chart.   

Dry Eye – Doing great. Keep using supplies in pairs. Please send all todos to “DES”. Todos are checked daily or next day. 

Maddie – Looking for new members for the marketing team! We meet once a month for six months. Cake in the breakroom for Dr. Richard Carlin’s birthday – 2pm!
