Dr. Richard Carlin: Welcome Rebecca and Olivia – still looking for more staff

Thank you for well wishes through Covid. We are still following CDC guidelines for medical practices and will continue wearing masks. New covid variant has allergy like symptoms.

Amy:  Patients should wear surgical mask or cloths masks in office – no valve masks. Please ask patients to switch masks if needed.

Patients that would like a prescription to Vuity must have had a CEX in the last year. Schedule if needed.

Dr.Bennett-Sims: Everyone doing a good job – keep working as a team

Dry Eye:  Remind full eval patients no drops before appointment. Lipiflow machine getting repaired – tests may look a little different.

Optical: Working with consultants – changes in the next few weeks to be more patient friendly.

Lasik: Need to get numbers up next month. Good job phone and front office staff. Lasik special still $2020 per eye – total $4040.

Cataracts/Bleph: Everything going well. Bleph $250 off per lid

Dr.Modi/Retina:  Keeping busy. Injection appointments should be scheduled by retina techs – other medical visits can be scheduled normally.

Contacts: Everything is going well.

Lottie: All Humana plans will require procedures to be scheduled 14 days out as of August 1st and a refraction within 90 days.

Dr. Richard Carlin:  No new employees – we are still looking for technicians

Very sad to announce DJ leaving the practice after 19 years – Thank you for being a great employee and friend – Best of luck

Erin is the new Dry Eye Coordinator

Tech work sheets are now in every Pod – do appropriate testing

CDC has changed covid mask mandate. We will continue to wear masks in office.

Amy:  Covid positive patients will be seen if urgent – Must call from vehicle and Pod should be aware. PPE gear to be worn while treating patient.

Patient portal/web registration owned by Compulink. Hope to see improvements soon.

Patients may receive a letter that Dr.David Carlin is not on UHC – Please schedule as normal. We are working on it.

Techs please keep scrubs pressed. All other staff should wear business casual attire. Watch low cut shirts and short dresses.

Door is always open for staff. Enjoy talking to everyone.
