The economy going through changes. Many companies are raising prices and feeling the negative pressure of changes. This is the time to stand out and provide better quality care. Patients will appreciate it and I hear it all the time how much they love it here.
Despite the economy, we are looking at adding new technology, such as crosslinking and special lenses in optical. New technology will allow us to treat patients better and keep them in the practice, not refer out. Please refer within the practice if possible. Patients hold us accountable for the physicians we recommended.
Technicians – Remember to discard needles by dropping into sharps bin or recap properly if needed. If you stick yourself, do not be embarrassed! Please report to physician or Amy.

Dr. David Carlin – Be cautious of releasing information to a patient. Let patients know their doctor will go over results with them.
Amy – Training is next Tuesday. The new Aflac rep will lead the front, phones, billing, and tech training. Those in the sales course will have time after training is finished.
If you submit short notice PTO, please submit your request and let me know. PTO requests are not checked daily.
Everyone will be asked to complete an employee survey. The surveys are anonymous. Please be honest and turn in by August 26th.
Lasik – Want to earn Botox, PTO, or Free Glasses? Refer patients for Lasik and get your choice of prize.
Optical – Opticians will be stopping in exam rooms to let patients know they have material benefits. It will only take a few minutes. Now offering a discount for Medicaid patients that is similar to their coverage. Please send Medicaid patients over to the Boutique.
Cataracts – New technicians are doing great.
Oculo – Please let Daelyn know if you are doing taped/untaped.
Contacts – July was our second biggest month. Please enter outside contact lens rxs in patients chart.
Dry Eye – Doing great. Keep using supplies in pairs. Please send all todos to “DES”. Todos are checked daily or next day.
Maddie – Ice cream social will be next week Wednesday at 2pm! Stop by and get some ice cream.
Retina – We have openings. Please fill her spots.
