April Meeting Notes

Dr. Richard Carlin – Welcome Austin (Optical Lab), Kelly (Technician), and welcome back Mandy (Vision Correction Facilitator).

Remember the importance of listening to the patients. We all want to be heard. If a patient has a question that you are unable to answer, there is nothing wrong with letting them know you don’t know and finding out.

We are still hiring technicians and opticians. If you have friends or know someone that is interested, send them our way. Offering $150 referral incentive.

Technicians – For CEX, make sure there is an A/R. If you are referring patients to another doctor, make sure to put notes in the plan.

Payouts – Lasik – Leslie, Jenny, Mirnesa, Cindy, Madelyn, and Vanessa.

Bleph – DC – Vanessa, Bree, Mirnesa, Madelyn, Beth, Jenny

Tyler – Kaitlyn, Beth, Michaela, Mirnesa

Willman – Holli

Amy – Professionalism – No meals at PODS or desks. Wear your nametag and white jacket if you have one. Be cautious of the conversation you are having around patient areas. Only appropriate conversations.

Lasik – Send “to dos” to “MD” (Mandy Davis). Include first and last name in Lasik referrals. Make sure to add Lasik code for Lasik evaluations.

Betty – Promotion still going on – $40 off frame and can be combined with insurance benefit. Great job Jenny, Salma, Courtney, Sarah, Corinne, Gigi, Rebecca, Brianna, Natalie, Cindy, and Kaitlyn. Make sure to pass out the postcards. Prizes for one person in each department!

Austin will be cutting lenses in house. Turn around time will improve. We will have stock lenses for emergencies.

Chemistrie Clip – Magnet to change glasses to sunglasses, readers, and can help mac degen patients.

Cataracts – Ask cataracts if there are any measurements pending before shutting down the equipment at the end of the day.

Daelyn – Communication from testing has been great! Please keep it up. Front desk – please arrive the CON and doctor appointment.

Contacts – Offering Mysight to stop the progression of myopia in patients.

Retina – If you are scheduling patients that may need treatment, please send a TO DO to RTA or MD. Need to make sure we have enough medication to treat patients.

Dry Eye – If scheduling Dry Eye eval, make sure notes are in the plan. Daelyn is helping schedule Lipiflow. Price is $495 (insurance does not cover service). Use dry eye supplies in pairs.

Maddie – Come see me if you need any more Optical special post cards. BOGO 40% off sunglasses coming soon. We are working on a Lasik special to stay tuned for that as well.
