February Meeting Notes

Office Meeting Notes

Dr. Richard Carlin

When dealing with upset patients, just listen and show empathy. If the problem continues, please get Amy or a physician.

Routine vs. Medical – “Routine” visits can be described as vision screenings. These are for people with no medical concerns or complications. Will go over more in training.

We can see children of all ages – but no premature newborn cases. Do not schedule children under 5 with Dr. Thornhill or Dr. Willman.

There is an attendance issue. The office runs smoother when all staff is present. PTO is for personal or sick time. Plan accordingly. Be ready to work in your station at your start time, not walking through the door or grabbing coffee. If you need to revisit the PTO policy, employee manual can be found in Amy’s office or on the Intranet.

MIPS is changing again. Expect to see a new routing sheet in the future.

Contact lens fit room is only for Brandi and Stacy to use. Do not use for other reasons (phone calls, other patients, etc..)

Payouts – Dr. RC (Lasik) Camila, Ashley, Brianna, Bethani, Stacy, Brandi, Elaine (Bleph) Hallie, Ashley, Lauren, Kellen

Dr.DC – Camila, Courtney, Brittany

Dr.Tyler – Michaela, Olivia M., Karen, Holli, Millie

Starting this pay period, everyone is receiving a 3.2% pay increase. Reviews to follow in the next few months.

Cells phone should not be used in front of patients. If problem continues, cell phones will be placed in lockers during the work day.

Amy – Price Increases – Refraction is now $58 and lipiflow is $445.

If you have over 80 hours PTO, go ahead and put in a PTO form. Only 80 hours can be rolled over.

We would like to do trainings on different topics this year. Dave Feroletto will host training and answer questions regarding John Hancock/401k.

Patients have the option to fill out surveys after their visit. If patients bring in CVSC surveys, please place in the box in back office.

Lasik – Cost of Lasik has decreased. At this time, there will not be any specials. Karen, Brandi/Staci, Bree, Elaine, Camila, Michaela, and Bethani all receive prizes for the referral contest.

Dry Eye – Schedule evaluations and lipiflows early in the day.

Betty – Suggest patients to look at frames while they wait for appointments
