Dr. C:
Some quick announcements: 2% of population now deceased due to COVID-19. Be careful and be safe. Thank you to our concierges who are our 1st line of defense.

We have added plexiglass shields in Optical and was suggested for check-in/checkout.

Switched cleaning supplies in rooms. No more Chlorox.

Patients not allowed to bring drinks/food into building.

Easier to accepts rules/policies when patients know the reason behind it, so explain why.

When not sure how to answer a patient’s question, tell them you will find out.

Starting January 2021, 99201, etc. codes will be replaced, based on medical decisions (more or less complicated?)

Issues with minor surgery room – unsterilized scissors found in drawer. Put sterilized instruments back in labeled drawers. Dispose of biohazard bags properly.

Per Dr. DC – Do not hand a tissue to patient. Hold out box of tissue to patient to grab one.

Amy:
Voice mail from patient – Thrilled with practice, Troy super nice, Front desk stellar integrity.

Take off mask when drinking/eating in breakroom – Do not slide down under chin.

Optical Rx – when finish complete exam print out their Rx and give to patient so Optical doesn’t get inundated with calls.

Donna is working with Solution Reach platform to have patients schedule their appointments for glasses pickup.

Get CL Rx out to patient using CCD document via the portal.

Any Compulink issues since update let Amy know.

REMINDER – Employees purchasing items must pay at time of service.

Next meeting want to see everyone’s faces so turn your cameras on.

Lasik:  Payouts for Nov/Dec are doubled to $100. AT&T employee package pays up to $3000 off Lasik. Want marketing ideas for this. Do not put anything else in LM slot on schedule. Will be a $2020 off special for Nov/Dec.

Cataract/Oculo:  All good. Things are picking up. Working on Bleph special for holidays.

Optical:  Busy, put plexiglass dividers between patients.

Contacts:  Good.

Retina:  Referrals picking up.

Dry Eye:  Masks are causing dry eye symptoms.

Front Desk:  Online paperwork – per request, for existing patients statement removed regarding nothing changed, do not have to fill out.

Techs: Participate in learning folders outside Amy’s office. Hannah gave kudos to Allie for 7 Lipiflows last week. Turn off visual field properly. Ketorolac to be prescribed at .5% only.
