Office Notes May 2019

Dr. C: Good Morning!
We are short-staffed and this makes things stressful. Be kind and understanding, work together as a team. We are in process of interviewing for both tech and front office. Rachel is leaving cataracts at end of the month. If anyone is interested in working in another department, let Amy know.

Short-staffing affects testing. Each pod may have to do their own testing.

Renovation update – flooring is next, optical by end of month.

Older patients take longer, move slower so offer them a hand. Be patient with them and listen. Explain procedures. Remember Carlin’s VISION.

ARP/premium lens includes Lasik enhancement for 1 year after cataract procedure. Bleph enhancements also included in a reasonable amount of time.

Lasik employee referral contest extended thru May. Special not included.

Payouts:
Dr. C (Lasik) – Kimberly W, Lorena, Ana, Nicole, Ale’, Karen; (Bleph) – Alex, Heather
Dr. DC (Bleph) – Millie, Allie G, Selena, Heather
Dr. DeRosa (Bleph) – Millie
Dr. Tyler (Bleph) – Ashley G, Karen

Amy:
Seeing a trend of losing paperwork. Have a new process. When patients drop off forms scan completed form and make ToDo to follow up. Improves tracking.

Coffee stations/bathroom duties are mandatory. AM/PM staff please keep areas clean. PM staff breakdown – no earlier than 4:30, wipe counters. Return cookie tins to Karen. Employee bathrooms – all staff put paper towels in holder (key by Nancy), toilet paper on rolls, fill soap dispenser.

Office staff – skirts not over 3” above knee, no spaghetti straps, tank tops, jeans or leggings. Wear name tags – no stickers or decals. Tatoos must be covered.

Having electronic Rx issues with Compulink. They are working on this.

Let opticians decide decide if patients want to purchase here when bringing them to optical for Rx.
