It’s Vacation Time! No meeting in July.
We tend to slow down a bit but still need to treat patients with the best possible care. Saturday included.
Been some robberies in the area – Dollar Tree/Verizon. If it happens here, give them what they want. Don’t try to be a hero, be safe.
Certified technicians are invited to the Academy meeting in Chicago this year. Will provide airfare, hotel and class costs. If you are interested in attending let Amy know.

For medical necessary Bleph/Ptosis note MRD on chart (marginal reflex distance); for cataract 20/50 or worse, if less do a BAT.
Meaningful use – new payment system starting this year. Medical records transferred electronically – use cataract post op 99024 code so registry can pick it up.
Patients say practice is pretty cool. Bacitracin rep was impressed.
When we do get complaints we listen and address the problem. Also gives us opportunity to do better. Laura – get Amy, doctor or whoever to address complaint appropriately.

IT John sent email regarding viruses on computers. Don’t open anything with Urgent, Warning, Expiration, etc. Save important files to C drive on computer or server. Anything on desktop will be lost if computer crashes.
Cataracts: Changing drop to Besivance from Ofloxacin. Coupon deal with Walgreens – refer calls to cataracts regarding cost.
Schedulers, thank you for getting patient in. Techs, play videos in room when we are backed up. Sticky notes are a big help – please use them.
Oculoplastics: No comment.
Optical: Last month was good with BOGO.

Lasik: Christmas in July $1000 off Lasik will be promoted in late June for July only.
Marketing: May optical BOGO expired. Attending GenXpo on June 4 from 10 to 3. Latisse rebate ends June 15. Lasik Christmas special starts mid/late June.

Ale’: For Spanish patients get Ale’ or Mille. Get another tech to switch with them so they do not get behind in Pod.
