Dr. RC- Good Morning
December is upon us. The office holiday party is tonight at Violettes in Atlanta, the shuttle will leave the office at 6:00pm.
There will also be shuttle for those who would like to go out afterwards, if you did not sign up but would like to ride either shuttle you are more than welcome there will be plenty of room. Lauren Cunningham and Diana Casaday are in charge of the shuttle. If you are going to be late please let one of them know.
Please hang in there- we only have a few more weeks of the year left. Everyone is under stress from our coworkers to the pts. Please try to be kind to each other and the patients.
Welcome to the new employees- Jordan, Alora and Chloe
PQRS- we have to attest for 3 months out of the year after doing it all year long, the months are October, November and December. We have to do good this month in order to meet the goal needed. Techs make sure you ask the pts about the flu and pneumonia shot. Dr. T’s techs please try to do better with mac degen pts asking about vitamins.
It has come to my attention that in the surgery room we are not giving out post op instructions. Please give post op instructions to every pt.
Techs- when circling codes when the patient is leaving it is permissible to use an I code instead of an emm code. If the doc wants to circle the I code it’s reasonable and they may get better reimbursement for it.
The table that was located in the center of optical before we got the new fitting desk is free to anyone who wants it, just let Amy know.

The next office meeting will be January 8, 2016. It is the second Friday of the month.
Can we try to work together on keeping the bathrooms clean and stocked as well as the muffins/cookies. If you have duties please make sure you do them. If you’re going to be off try to find someone to cover your duties.

The tree decorating competition will be judge today and the winner will be announced at the party tonight. Please make a list on who is with what tree.
Techs- need help we are running out of space, if contacts asks to use a room please pull a pt out and let them use a room to check vision it will not take them very long.
We have stone mnt tickets. They will be first come first serve please sign up in the breakroom. We also have 4 Gordon Biersch bucks.
As you all know we changed out the monitors in the rooms. We have 12 monitors in the back that are also free. If you would like one please sign up.
Thanksgiving Feast- Thanks to everyone who came and participated- as I said a drawing was held for the gift card for participating with the vendors and the winner is Lisa Fife.
Preview of January-
We have hired a new marketing director he will start at the beginning of January. We are also in the process of converting the contact lens room into an exam room, the contact lens office into a fitting room and the creating a new contact lens office using space from the storage room.
We are holding our annual office OSHA meeting!
We want to be as safe as possible and we do not want anyone to get sick.
If you get a needle stick or cut from surgery tool please let us know and don’t be embarrassed. Let us know and we will get you the correct testing and treatment.
