Good Morning Staff- Breakfast is for Staff Appreciation today which is today.
This year we are trying to make every one feel special and appreciated. We want everyone to enjoy coming to work. We are going to start focus groups for me to listen to concerns and everyone’s voice. Everyone will tell me what makes your job more enriching. The idea is for me to become more engaged in the job. There will be no repercussion; we want you to be open and honest.
We have new desk in front which is where our new kiosks will sit. We will have training days to learn about the new kiosks. We have run into some issues with interface and compulink. The reason we have purchased the kiosks is to keep up with the cutting edge technology and not everyone has to use kiosks we will still have staff at the front desk.
Surveys have been very positive. The patients are not saying we are doing anything terrible. The main concern has been wait time. We are doing the best we can to work on that.
We are doing a bleph special this month and next month. $1000 off, $500 uppers and $500 lowers. We are not sure about summer specials.
We are doing a small lasik special March 13- pts will receive a free pair of sunglasses up to $400 value.

We are upgrading all rooms with bigger TVs- 40inch.
We have had a problem with the compulink balance portion showing on the patient TV, this can be awkward. In order to fix this double click in the demographics screen and it will get rid of it.
Amy-
Kiosks stands are in. They also painted all the bathrooms, back office and some in the pods.
We are encouraging everyone to take note of the area you work in to keep it nice and let us know if anything needs attention or fixing.
We have noticed letters and results are left out in the POD after business hours. We have nosey pts. so please clean up at the end of the day.
Also conversations in the PODs are getting loud again.
Don’t go into a room that a physician is already in and say other pt’s name, if you need info from the physician write it on a piece of paper for them to see.
Coffee and Bathroom Duties-There are lots of cups being put out up front, let’s not put up too many because there are spill and the cups get dirty and we throw them away. Also, wash the platters if they are sticky and gross and wipe down the counters with a Clorox wipe.
At the end of the day you must log off your computer. They update will not come through if you are not logged off and it also helps with security and preserving the computer.
Tomorrow night is daylight savings time. Clocks go forward an hour.

When sending Yags to precert do not send them to anything other than PRE, must be all capital. Also if anything is changed after the to do is sent you must let Trish know. The money collected next door goes off of what she sends. She must have the correct diagnoses. Also please make sure to put in all the information for Istents.
